The Muddy Volcanoes of Romania
One of the best known geological reserves of Romania, the Muddy Volcanoes site, was my first objective of this summer trip around the country. We (as in me and 2 friends), arrived at the site after spending about half a day wandering on country roads and trying to find the good one
Finally, we arrived but in the mid day, about 2pm, under a cruel sun who melted our brains. It was 40 degrees Celsius in the shade. This happened on 19th august, this year.
A very strange place I must say… arid and hot, if you can ignore the surrounding hills, you could swear you’re on another planet.
