Memories of my boyhood…
… well, not exactly mine. But the ones of Ion Creanga, Romania’s greatest story teller. He spent his boyhood in his native village, depicted in his masterpiece Memories of my Boyhood. That village is named Humulesti, and is located in the foothills of the Eastern Carpathians, in northern Moldavia.
During my recent one week vacation, I passed trough this village and couldn’t help not to stop at the Creanga’s memorial house.
Unfortunatelly, it was almost raining, not a very good time for photos. But I managed to shoot quickly (again from hand, not tripod) the pictures for these two panoramas. The house exterior and the main room (not very happy about the room pano…)
